If your washer is full of water the safety switch might not be engaged, or the pump may have a clog preventing the water from being drained. The safety switch usually goes bad if the lid is slammed closed. A clog in the pump could be caused by anything from a rogue sock to a missing car key. There are a few things that can cause a dryer not to start. First of all, DO NOT crank your temperature settings up to 9 as this will only make your problem worse. The likely cause is excessive frost build up on the freezer coils that prevents air from circulating correctly.
